Poster Designs

We have created and designed two possible ideas for our bands music poster. We decided to use Andrew as the main figure for the poster because he is the lead singer of the band, which is typically the main attraction for the band and most popular member. We decided that using bold font would attract a audience as it would stand out clearly and allow them to read the text easily and learn who the band are.
For the positioning of Andrew's face, we decided that we should have one 'looking' out of the poster, trying to attract eye-contact with the audience. We also tried a more 'serious' image, where Andrew is looking into the distance, giving off a mysterious aura that may attract the audience.
For the background of the images, we tried to do something that would fit the genre and theme of the band. We went for a darker, bleak background for one which could link to the song 'Demons' which we have chosen to do. We also decided to have a more 'alternative' background with purple and blue waves or smoke rising from behind the figure.
